László Vadas is an economist and CEO of Magyar Zöld Acél Zrt. (CycloSteel). He has more than two decades of experience in strategy consulting, financing and business development, having worked at McKinsey and later as a founding partner of CEMI, mainly on energy, utility and industrial projects. As co-founder of NAP Nyrt., Hungary’s first publicly listed solar power plant operator, he led its development, growth and stock exchange listing. Since 2020, he has led the preparation of the CycloSteel steel mill investment, the first Central European project to receive EU Net-Zero Strategic Project status. CycloSteel is designed as a fully electrified, fully circular steel plant using locally generated renewable energy and producing critical raw material for the European cleantech industry.
