Peter Börkey

Peter Börkey has been working on international and domestic environmental policy issues for more than 30 years. He currently leads work on waste management, resource productivity, and the circular economy at the OECD Environment Directorate. In this role, he coordinates and leads OECD contributions to negotiations on a Global Plastics Treaty, as well as work on economic instruments, transboundary movements of waste, plastics, and critical raw materials. Mr Börkey holds degrees in Economics and Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Grenoble in France.
