Peter Börkey has been working on international and local environmental policy issues for more than 30 years. He is currently leading work on waste management, resource productivity and the circular economy at the OECD Environment Directorate. In this capacity, he is coordinating and leading OECD’s inputs into negotiations on a Global Plastics Treaty, as well as work on economic instruments, transboundary movements of waste, plastics and critical raw materials.

Mr Börkey holds degrees in Economics and Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and University of Grenoble in France.
