Open Call for Circular Pitches
Do you have a solution that contributes to the transition to a circular economy?
Whether you are a startup, a small or large enterprise, or a bold innovator, we are looking for your unique circular solutions that have a real impact on business operations and resource use.
The European Circular Economy Hotspot 2026 is the region’s leading circular economy event: a three-day knowledge-sharing and networking platform in Budapest, bringing together an international professional audience and renowned speakers such as Tom Szaky and Peter Börkey.
The top 18 applicants will have the opportunity to present their solutions in a 3–5 minute pitch session on stage at the European Circular Economy Hotspot 2026 on October 6, 2026, in front of an international audience.
Who can apply?
The call is open to innovators that:
has a functioning, scalable, and innovative product, technology, or service;
offers a solution that directly contributes to the circular economy (e.g. climate protection, material efficiency, eco-design, digitalization, food and biomass circularity, or a sustainable built environment);
is able to present its solution professionally (including in English).

Application Evaluation
The applications will be evaluated by a jury of recognized experts based on criteria including:
scalability
market potential
impact on the circular economy

Exclusion Criteria
Disqualifying factors for applications:
The solution is not related to the circular economy.
The project does not demonstrate meaningful innovation or technological novelty.
The application is submitted incomplete or after the deadline.

Application period: May 26, 2026 – June 22, 2026
Notification of applicants: July 15, 2026

Applications will be evaluated by the jury based on the submitted information, with particular focus on innovation value and circular impact.
