Getting around Budapest to the conference venues
Budapest has an extensive and reliable public transport network, making it easy to travel between conference venues, hotels, and the city’s main attractions. The city’s metro, tram, bus, and trolleybus services are operated by Budapest Transport Centre (BKK).
The main conference venues — Kimpton BEM Budapest and Lámfalussy Conference Center at the Magyar Nemzeti Bank — are both conveniently located and easily accessible by public transport, taxi, cycling, or on foot from many central hotels.

Cycling or Walking
Budapest is increasingly bike-friendly, with expanding cycling infrastructure and scenic walking routes throughout the city centre. Many central districts are easily walkable, especially along the Danube riverfront and between major hotels, restaurants, and conference locations.
Public bike-sharing is available through the MOL Bubi system, with docking stations located across the city. Bikes can be rented via the MOL Bubi mobile application.

Taxis
Licensed taxis are widely available throughout Budapest and can be booked via mobile apps, telephone, or found at designated taxi ranks.
We recommend using official taxi providers such as Főtaxi, Bolt, or City Taxi. Official taxis in Budapest are yellow, display a taxi sign on the roof, and have clearly visible fare information.
Please avoid unofficial taxis and always check the estimated fare before travelling. Taxi apps are generally the easiest and most reliable option for getting around the city.
