How to get to Budapest?
Budapest is one of Central Europe’s best-connected capitals, making travel to the conference easy and convenient.
When planning your journey to the conference, we encourage you to consider the environmental impact of different travel options and, where possible, choose lower-carbon solutions such as rail travel or public transport.
By Train
Budapest is easily accessible by international and domestic rail services. The city’s three major railway stations — Budapest Keleti, Budapest Nyugati, and Budapest Déli — provide direct connections from numerous European cities including Vienna, Bratislava, Prague, Munich, Zurich, and Bucharest, as well as extensive domestic routes across Hungary.
High-speed and EuroCity services offer convenient access from neighbouring countries, while the city’s public transport network makes it easy to reach hotels, venues, and key attractions from any station.

By Car
Budapest is connected to the European motorway network through several major highways, including the M1 (Vienna), M3, M5, and M7 motorways.
There are a variety of parking options available throughout the city, including underground garages and Park & Ride (P+R) facilities on the outskirts connected to public transport. As traffic in the city centre can be busy during peak hours, we recommend using public transport whenever possible.

Most international buses arrive at Népliget Bus Station, which is well connected to the city centre via metro and tram lines.
